Meet Edison.

In early January 2018, we decided to make a major change in our lives and brought Edison into the family.

Edison is a 2018 Tiffin Wayfarer Class C motorhome and we are about to spend a LOT of time in Edison.

Why Edison?

Okay, so apparently people name their motorhomes. Initially we called it "the Tiffin" or "the unit", which is akin to calling an unnamed newborn, "baby" or "it". Tammy has always admired how Thomas Edison approached his work, keeping a lot experiments going at once. When things didn't work as expected, he didn't see failure so much as a learning experience.

If I find 10,000 ways something won't work, I haven't failed. I am not discouraged, because every wrong attempt discarded is another step forward" Thomas Edison

And so begins this grand experiment: We travel extensively for work and are tired of airplanes, hotels and rental cars. We have seen negative health impacts from traveling that way, so we are trying something different: Edison.

Our first trip is a 24-day, 4700-mile journey from Ohio, to the West Coast, through Dallas and back home.
